Austin James, CPCU, ARM
Austin started his insurance career on the retail side as a producer, after graduating with a degree in Finance from Florida State University. Eventually, he moved into the wholesale space, working for two large national brokerages. In 2014, he joined McGowan to launch McGowan Wholesale. Since then, he has focused on building the organization to be a best-in-class property & casualty wholesaler to serve the needs of agencies nationwide. Outside of work, Austin enjoys golf, biking, traveling, and spending time with his family. He currently resides in Colorado Springs with his wife and three children.
Darin McClure
Darin started his insurance career in the Northeast working with an HPR property carrier. He soon moved into retail commercial insurance sales in the Southeast. Ten years ago, he became a wholesale broker. He has developed and run several national programs for habitational property and liability coverages. He joined the MW Property Division team in July of 2019 as a broker. He currently enjoys restoring old buildings and spending time with his wife and two teenage children.
Larry Porter
Larry has been in the insurance industry since 1979 and brings a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Larry began his career as a State Farm agent. In the late 90s, he became a partner in a successful MGU agency for property and casualty package products. He joined McGowan in 2012 as an independent contractor, instituting and managing a successful habitational program with MPA-MD. Recognizing that the small business arena can be underserved by qualified program administrators, he aims to make McGowan a leader in retail, wholesale, service, and institutional classes.
Will Jayne IV
Larry has been in the insurance industry since 1979 and brings a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Larry began his career as a State Farm agent. Ross Hackney
Ross was born in Central Florida and continues to live there today. He attended the University of Central Florida and received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He has experience in political consulting and strategy development. He joined the MW Property Division team in July of 2020 as a broker. His primary focus is to cultivate and maintain good relationships with clients by providing exceptional service. In his free time, Ross enjoys exercising, golfing, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

Brian joined McGowan in 2015 and has over 25 years of property and casualty experience. Combined with outstanding customer service, he consistently exhibits a high level of integrity and keeps agents in the loop as he scours the marketplace. From a long list of carrier partners, Brian consistently seeks the best options for his clients across various lines of business: Property, GL, Wind Deductibles, and Parametric. Brian resides in Weston, FL, with his wife and son.

Jacqueline comes to us with 12 years of experience in the Property & Casualty Industry. Her career started in an Allstate office in small-town Pennsylvania, where she began selling homeowners and auto insurance. She relocated to Virginia Beach in 2009, where she met her husband. Throughout their moves, Jacqueline maintained and grew in her career in the insurance industry, gaining unique perspectives on insurance markets across the country. Jacqueline is excited to bring her knowledge and skills to McGowan. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her daughter and husband, exploring Florida.

Born and raised in Boynton Beach, South Florida. Christina started in the insurance industry at Bright Way Insurance (Boca Raton) as a receptionist in 2011 and has stuck with insurance since, focusing on Personal Lines. She is a proud dog mom to two rescues and loves to learn new things and be outdoors, especially at the beach.

Nicole has worked for the McGowan Companies for over five years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Civilizations and a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Anthropology from the University of Akron. Having lived most of her life in Northeast Ohio, she plans to stay there long-term. Nicole is an avid reader, but only of stories with happy endings. Her only child is a black cat named Sasha, who is anti-social and demands attention on her own terms.

Kimberley Brownstein
Kimberley was born in South Florida and continues to live there. She joined the wholesale insurance industry in 1999 as a temp and became full-time in 2000 as a policy typist and receptionist. After a brief departure in 2003, she rejoined the industry in 2006 and became a Technical Assistant in 2007. She enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and four-legged children, as well as fishing, bowling, swimming, playing bingo, reading, and is a huge Disney fan!
